Module 4: Common Barriers

OBJECTIVE

This module will define and outline the various types of barriers that are commonly experienced by persons with disabilities. Barriers can have significant negative impacts on the everyday lives of many, and this module will go into detail of how to recognize, understand, and identify barriers within various situations. In order to develop a deep understanding, several examples of each type of barrier will be reviewed. Helpful strategies and solutions of how to reduce and remove existing barriers will be shared, as well as how best to prevent future barriers from occurring.
